Sotiris Marinakis was born in 1964 in Athens and completed his studies in Business Administration.
He has been active in the Logistics Industry for more than 30 years. Throughout these years of experience in the field of Supply Chain Management, he has achieved many distinctions, not only ensuring the quality of the services provided, which is a top priority for him, but also aligning the supply chain and overall business strategies, thus being the enabler for achieving commercial goals and consequently, corporate success. He has managed to apply optimal practices to upgrade productivity by effectively adapting functional and lean procedures, implementing supply chain strategies that support the overall strategy of their client’s business.
For many years he has been an active speaker at various supply chain Conferences and Workshops.
He has also authored several successful blog posts on supply chain issues, design & management of warehouse, storage, transportation and distribution. He held several positions in Supply Chain & Commercial Enterprises, namely the position of Purchasing & Inventory Analyst (1987-1998) at FIAT – LANCIA in Greece, Operations & Logistics Manager (1998-2015) at FEDERAL MOGUL COPR. (Car spare parts) (1998-2000), VOYATZOGLOU SYSTEMS SA (Furniture and Integrated Solutions) (2000-2002), GLOU – PUMA (Menswear and Sportswear Enterprise) (2002-2009), MEDFRIGO SA (International Transportation) (2009-2015), Commercial Director at 3W LOGISTICS (3PL Enterprise) (2015-2018), while currently (2018-today) he holds the position of Commercial & Supply Chain Solutions Director at LOGISTICS WAY (Business Management Consultancy & Support Services).
